Leaders are Learners

Brian Willis

“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.”

John F. Kennedy

Leaders are continually learning.

They are reading, listening, and watching.

They are asking questions and listening to the answers.

They are seeking feedback from trusted sources.

They are learning from those who have gone before them, from their leaders, from their peers and they are learning from those they have the privilege to lead.

They are evaluating, reflecting, assessing and learning from their failures and their mistakes.

They are evaluating, reflecting, assessing and learning from their successes.

They are students of leadership and they are practitioners of leadership, putting what they are learning into action.

If you are not learning, then you are not leading; you are putting in time and taking up space.

One great way to learn is through the Dare to Be Great online workshop.

Remember that leadership is a choice and a journey. Choose well, keep learning and enjoy the journey.
