Leaders are learners.

Leaders learn from those they lead.

Leaders learn from other leaders.

Leaders learn by listening.

Leaders learn through reading broadly and deeply.

Leaders learn from their experiences, mistakes, challenges, and successes.

Leaders learn by asking deep, thoughtful questions, then listening to the answers.

Leaders learn by seeking out wisdom from those with more knowledge, skill, and experience.

Leaders learn by reflecting on what they are learning and seeking connections to what they learned previously.

Leaders learn through the application and iteration of what they are learning.

Leaders learn by sharing, discussing, and debating what they are learning with other learners.

If you want to be a leader and positively influence others, then you need to be intentional and deliberate about both leading and learning.

Remember that leadership is a choice and a journey, and it starts with you. Choose well, keep learning, and enjoy the journey.
